Looks great Hoover ! Look forward to seeing it installed, and how it fits within the frame members and so on.

all your parts are ordered, btw. we've already mocked everything up, so it all fits. No cutting, just bolt-in.

Thanks Hoover, glad to hear on both fronts. Shoot me a email and let me know when you expect to have my package complete and ready to ship please.
still want to see the dry sump installed, as I am sure all do, it is certain to be "THE" way to go for those that track their cars and want the highest levels of confidence. Kudo's to you and your shop for taking that project on where others have not, as I personally know just how much is involved in getting it right. Congrats for sure !

Hey Wes! I got totally impatient and wanted to drive my car. I already have the parts, and my dry sump will be installed this fall. I'm sure it's gonna be fantastic, and I'll give you a full review after it's installed.

Most of the time a dry sump systems are easier to obtain. You can just buy an off the shelf pan and/or a complete bolt-in kit. However, the Noble is no such case. Darth Vader Noble was definitely a good candidate for the upgrade. R&D quickly began to give DV the parts it needs to be reliable on the track. However, there was always this roomer that a dry sump doesn't fit due to space constraint. Since DV was a single turbo, we figured that it would be much easier, however, we found that with slight adjustments, it fits with the twins as well. Most track guys were happy enough with a tried and proven accusump. Our goal was to have better control of fluids, consistent oil pressure and capacity; a dry sump was perfect. A customer of ours had a dry sump pan that was for the Ford V6, however, it was designed for an engine that was North South configuration. After we bolted it up, we found that the scavenging valley was not in the correct location and it was now necessary to design our own pan. As usual, I get on the phone and with the assistance of a local Noble owner, found someone willing to make us pans. The investment was no less than HUGE, the time spent was even greater. After many phone calls and listening to all the debates of billet pans vs. cast pans, we were left to make an educated decision on our own. Which one was better? We decided to go with the cast pans due to construction. Billet pans are very nice looking but they are also welded where machinery can not cut the billet. We decided that a part that is simple is simply more reliable. There's no turning back...... One advantage to a billet pan is that you can have a single piece made. Not cheap, but for a one-off it's the way to go, other than making everything out of sheets of metal and welding them together (we wanted to avoid as much welding as possible). For us to have a cast pan made, there's tooling necessary, and that means $$$!!! A fairly large check was written and we had to pay for all the pans in full, even before we had a proto-type. The original pan we had was used as a template and minor adjustments were made. Now the wait begins as the pan went back to the foundry. During that time, we worked on the sump tank, brackets, plumbing, drive mandrel etc....Little did I know that all the revisions "we" were doing was going to take one of our techs. nearly 8+ weeks to complete. In and out of DV the proto-type went. Back and forth with design, proto-type, revision, fabrication, ordering materials, welding, mounting, dismounting and all over again a 1000 times. The total time for the final proto-type was about 10 months. We never would have thought 10 months, but it is what it is. I'll tell ya..... All this so that we could build another standard into our race car. I don't look back very often, but once in a while, I mentally calculate the time spent and translate it to dollars. NOTE TO SELF- NEVER DO THAT!!!!! At this point, there was/is no recovery, the budget is blown, but at least we can say that we have a dry sump system and it fits the Noble with no cutting or relocation of chassis components.
