As I lamented a few weeks ago, my new purchase was lacking air conditioning for my long, hot, 90+ degree ambient temp, who knows how hot inside the cabin, curse these small window openings, 100+ mile drive home.
Thankfully the A/C issue was easy to track. There was a large hole in the rubber A/C line just behind the filter drier, in front of the right front tire. I was able to repair the A/C line on the car using a Weatherhead Qwik Clip kit. (We use it for building/repairing AC hoses at our NAPA store) The key to the on car repair is that the Parker hoses and the Weatherhead hoses have the same outside diameter, so the banding style clips work with both hoses. Since the A/C system was fully discharged and open to the atmosphere, a change of the filter drier was in order. I tried to cross reference the Parker number that was on the factory filter drier, but was unsuccessful. A suitable replacement is the NAPA 208486. The only difference is that the pressure switch (included with the NAPA filter drier) moves from the frame rail side to the opposite side. Just in case anyone needs to have any A/C hoses built, the fittings on both sides of the filter drier are 3/8 o-ring. A/C in the Noble is a wonderful thing !!! Mike P. |

I've got a bit of trouble with it myself. But it's mainly due to the front turbo putting too much heat on the compressor and it's internal heat sensor is tripping causing the compressor to cut off.
We repositioned a passenger side air vent to blow more towards the compressor than the turbo (left the alternator one alone). Just waiting on the sun to come out again so I can try it again in our wonderful triple digit heat and what feels like triple digit humidity... Anyone have any feedback on bypassing that thermo coupler on the compressor itself? Would love to eliminate it, but not at the cost of frying compressors! |

We should move this into the owner's section. There is more info.
